Roadless Rule

The Roadless Rule is the 2001 federal conservation policy that protects nearly 45 million acres of undeveloped national forest lands (and 235,000 acres of White Mountain National Forest) from new road construction, road reconstruction and commercial timber harvesting. The USDA has proposed rescinding the rule; now that the public comment period on rescission has ended, we encourage you to ask your elected representatives to co-sponsor the Roadless Area Conservation Act, which would prevent rescission, and to share this information with your friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
